You have decided to sell

Once you’ve done this, it’s time to…

START PACKING. It may sound crazy to start packing months in advance of your move, but since you’ll eventually need to do this anyway, you might as well get organized now. I am not suggesting you pack up your kitchen and eat off paper plates, but you can sort through your storage closets, attic, basement or garage to determine what you want to keep, what to give away and what to sell. Boxing up items will make your space look larger and neater when it’s time to show your home.

CLEAR AWAY THE CLUTTER. If you visit homes that have been staged, you’ll never see a stack of unread magazines, children’s artwork loosely hanging on the refrigerator, or a cluster of mail on a table. While everyone has clutter, buyers want to see a fantasy version of your house, in which they can envision living. Once your home is on the market, you’ll need to keep it as neat as possible. One way to make that easier is to reduce the amount of clutter you have on your shelves and surfaces.

IMPROVE YOUR HOME. While you don’t necessarily want to do a major, expensive renovation project before you sell, you can make minor repairs and improvements that will make your home look fresher to buyers. Try things such as replacing the caulk and grout in your bathroom, updating old or rusted ceiling fans and light fixtures, and changing switch plates, doorknobs and other hardware for a clean and neat appearance. Consider painting your front door and trim even if your rooms don’t need new paint.

I believe that successful relationships are built on trust… here’s how I’ve helped people just like you.

To Whom it may concern,

Since coming to Canada in late 2003 I have bought and sold twice in Salmon Arm.  Sandra Kentel was involved in both properties.

What a lady! She took care of everything.  And did it so professionally, expertly and completely.

If I need a realtor in Salmon Arm again it will be Sandra.  I have no reservations in recommending her to anyone.

Working with Sandra was an absolute joy.  I was extremely pleased with Sandra’s service and expertise for the recent sale of my house.  Everything was made clear and great advice was given in relation to all aspects of the sale such as pricing, marketing, staging and more.   I appreciated how organized and professional her office was and how quickly Sandra followed up with feedback from prospective buyers.

As a buyer of my new home, Sandra was very accommodating, and patient.     Always professional, kind, compassionate, caring and very knowledgeable about all areas of the Shuswap.  Sandra gave opinions when asked regarding each place I looked at and offered a lot of useful information.  She took great care in finding a home that was perfect for me.  Sandra went above and beyond in representing me and seeing to my best interest.  Highly recommend her.
